Casa del Poeta Tragico G+

In every work of art the subject is primordial, whether the artist knows it or not. The measure of the formal qualities is only a sign of the measure of the artist’s obsession with his subject; the form is always in proportion to the obsession. -  Alberto Giacometti A few days ago was the birthday of Alberto Giacometti, born on 10 October 1901 in Switzerland.  He was both painter, like his father Giovanni Giacometti, and sculptor, for which he is more famous. Being one of the most famous and important artists born in Switzerland, today his face is on 100 Swiss frank banknote ;)The photo I am sharing are the 4 images of Alberto taken by photographer  Ugo Mulas, at the moment Alberto got the news of being awarded Grand Prize for Sculpture at the Venice Biennale :-) Must have been an amazing moment for him :)
